The Gainesvillle Medieval fair is expecting a large surge of people attending their festival this year, so an extra weekend has been added to their schedule.
The problem presented is that the fair could experience some overcrowding which could affect the quality of the Medieval experience as well as traffic flow through town.
The people affected is not only the Hoggtowne Medieval Festival board, but the patrons as well as the locals that could be experiencing the influx of people into the city.

The Future of Lucky's Market Remains Unclear

There are roomers spreading about a potential buyout of the local Lucky's Market by Aldi.  Speculation from all sides leave a lack of clarity for the ultimate resolution upon the closing on February 12.
People affected by this are the Lucky's Market workers, Aldi's business development team, and the usual customers to this store location.

County Commission May Install Cameras on I-75 to Prevent Speeding

Alachua county is contemplating setting aside an $800,000 budget to invest in speed cameras to slow down I-75 traffic.
People affected by this would be anyone traveling through Alachua County on I-75, as well as Alachua County Sherriff & Commission

GRU General Manager Pauses Agreement with FPL

GRU's transition to joining forces with Florida Power & Light is being halted once again on a 30-year transition plan that would save GRU $400M while likely not causing our bills to go down any.  A merger would create more green energy production in our region.
The affected parties is GRU as well as the local citizens under their dominion.
